With nothing more than an acoustic guitar, distortion pedal and a voice, TH3 W1tch takes the stage and bashes out a stream of dark, rowdy, riotous songs. He stops only to talk trash about the current Emo infestation, the lack of soul on country radio, and of course to enjoy the occasional swig of beer, jager or tequila. Ryan wears his heart on his sleeve and displays his influences openly. Traces of Danzig, Morrison and Willie Dixon are evident in his voice. Blues legends such as Howlin wolf, Charlie Patton and Muddy Waters drink side by side with Outlaw Country heroes like Hank Sr., Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard in Ryan’s compositions. Throw in a dash of The Misfits and Black Flag and you have the perfect road map for a trip into the underground of Americana. Ryan is currently writing and performing in the tiny, dark places where you would expect to find stale smoke, honest music and strong drink.
